Job description:

Under supervision of the project manager, the foreman oversees workers, subcontractors, and the execution of all activities on site.

Project start-up:

• Attend the kick-off meeting
• Establish security perimeter, install signage, collaborate with prevention agent of our ACQ mutuelle de prévention
• Check plans, look for any errors or omissions with current site
• Maintain prevention program on site, carry short morning meetings with workers
• Schedule follow-ups with the project manager regarding delivery date, work progress

Site supervision:

• Supervise, coordinate on site work, workers, and subcontractors
• Be proactive, creative in finding solutions to improve productivity on site
• Contact our superintendent for any labour, material, or equipment needs

Documentation:

• Timesheets
• Ensure quality work, in accordance with the règle de l’art, standards rules and regulation
• Building code
• Schedule tracking in MS Project
• Daily DREEVEN report
• As-built plan, updating with annotation of changes
• Follow-up on deficiencies list and timely corrective actions
• Site prevention program

Relationships:

• Collaboration with Germano project manager and project management support team
• Professionalism and develop climate of trust with clients
• Good relationship with suppliers and subcontractors
• Attendance at regular weekly site meetings
• Special meetings, follow-up on deficiencies and taking corrective actions

Qualifications:

• 5 years experience in a foreman position
• Commercial, industrial, and institutional sector (schools, universities, hospitals)
• Bilingualism: French / English
• Good communication skills
• Adaptability with technology, Owncloud and Dreeven
• CNESST site monitoring and collaboration with our ACQ mutuelle de prévention
